Wrote Under: The Movie - take two
Local multi-creative collective Wrote Under are back with a second clip from their work-in-progress documentary, provisionally and thoughtlessly entitled “Wrote Under: The Movie”.
Wrote Under are a ramshackle collective of amateur and professional creatives whose talents include poetry, comedy, comedy-poetry, songwriting, experimental performance, visual arts, philosophy, bipolarity, psychoanalysis and care in the community. They got together to raise some money and publish books, and ended up doing some other stuff together too, like running a monthly open mic. So they’ve decided to have a go at filmmaking too because someone once told them that not knowing what you’re doing can sometimes be a strength.
Since the first clip was aired at the beginning of April, one of their founder members has emerged from one of his long bouts of self-imposed isolation and in a burst of post-hibernation creativity has decided to finish his opus magnum, a novel called “The Benediction Chronicles” which he’s been writing on and off for about ten years. He thinks Wrote Under will publish it. You’ll have to watch the clip to find out what they think.
