VIVID is seeking an intern to assist the programme team with the research and development of ‘Participation- Untold stories from Birmingham Underground’.
Participation is a major project to examine the burgeoning of independent film practice in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Through unearthing the archives of the Arts Lab, Birmingham International Film Festival and the Film and Video Workshop amongst others, the project will develop a multimedia public exhibition July to August 2009 and curated archive gallery as a public resource.
The internship will provide essential professional development for emergent curators and arts professionals in the form of research, administration and networking. Applicants must possess excellent administration, research and coordination skills, and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills. The internship will run 1-2 days per week April to July 2009.
