  1. Hi Debut,
Here’s a poem I wrote recently and that I’m particularly proud of! Enjoy

    Title = Monkeys On Tour

Arms draped around necks like monkeys
    Signifies insufferable co-dependencies
Boredom of existing and tired of life
    Just clinging to their sub-mate, sub-mistress, sub-wife
Trudging through life and barely clinging to affection
And in the air, I see brewing a quick disaffection
Of would be spouses from would be spousettes
Attempting great escapes from houses, mortgages and pets
But who am I to scorn their world?
When I’ve been caught up by a handful of girls
And I’ve been head over feet for a fair few myself
A feeling which on occasion I just couldn’t help
Where I’d compromise my very identity
Just so that my subjects would attend to me
But unhealthy affections or true love divine
I’m proud of my weaknesses purely because they are mine
My story is complex, twisted and at times convoluted
Because me and my monster are just perfectly suited
And at present the M word is swearing to me
But alas one day married I may well just be
But for now I’m enjoying the bachelor’s life
With maximum enjoyment and minimal strife
Party ’til you’ve passed out, sleep when you’re dead
But sleeping is a boring thing to do in my bed
Buy me a drink and come over here
Make it a vodka, I’m not a boy for beer
I’ll entertain and amaze, maybe hazard a gaze
Then I’ll tell you a secret whilst I nibble your ear…
