There is a long tradition of artists publishing books, which has become increasingly popular throughout the twentieth century to the present day. The art form has been used by artists as an affordable way to disseminate ideas, and by-pass the constraints of the gallery. The Art Library will present a selection of artists’ books from the University of West England’s Centre for Fine Print Research collections. Free Talk by Sarah Bodman

Sarah Bodman, Research Fellow at the Centre for Fine Print Research, UWE will give a talk about artists’ books, and her research on what constitutes an artist’s book in the 21st century.
