In Prison My Whole Life @ LightHouse - Wolverhampton

In Prison My Whole Life (15)
Tues 13 Jan, 8.20pm

Introduced by William Francome and
followed by a Q & A session.

In Prison My Whole Life explores the story of Mumia Abu Jamal, a prisoner who has been on death row for over 25 years. Mumia has, through his journalism and radio broadcasts, taken his case far beyond prison walls, attracting massive support from Amnesty International, and world leaders including Nelson Mandela. The film explores the circumstances surrounding Mumia’s arrest, and uncovers a man who is equally an inspiration to some and a pariah to others. Mumia’s case is a lightning rod for many issues that characterise the key differences between the American justice system and that of the rest of the ‘civilized’ world.
Dir. Marc Evans, UK/USA, 1hr34.
