This is a fairly lengthy one… so we’ve just pulled a few details from Screew WM’s press release!

The Digishorts 2008 roadshow tour organised by regional screen agency, Screen WM comes to a dramatic close on October 25th with a high profile event at the Hello Digital festival in Birmingham

Digishorts, is the annual short film production scheme that offers new and emerging filmmaking talent the chance to develop and produce a short film with support and a budget from Screen WM, and the agency have been touring the region on the lookout for the next big things in British filmmaking. The roadshow tour has visited Stafford, Warwick, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Worcester and concludes with a special event at Millennium Point, Birmingham on Saturday 25th October at 3.30pm as part of the Hello Digital festival.

The free admission special event at Hello Digital will feature a mouth watering industry panel featuring BAFTA winning writer Geoff Thompson, award winning filmmaker Justin Edgar and multi-award winning producer Samm Haillay. It will be an incredible opportunity for filmmakers to seek advice from the very best in the film industry, and learn more about how best to develop from making short films to full length feature films. Birmingham Animator Stephen Spencer will also be on hand to discuss his experiences on 2008 digishort Momster.
